As with the original Manhunt the characters
of Manhunt 2 fall under two classes, characters and hunters. The
hunters are generally the enemies in the game whereas the characters
are used to drive the story forward. The information in these profile
write ups are gathered from sources ranging from the official game,
the Manhunt 2 game guide, Rockstar and assumption.
Many of the voice actors in Manhunt 2 are listed as ‘Pawns
of the Project’ - as such we have grouped them together rather
than attempt to separate them out at this moment in time:
Dan Ahearn, Luis Antonio, Mike Arkin, Jim Burke,
Victoria Broderick, Jay Capozello, Barry Carl, Franceska Clemens,
Chris Cook, Devin Flores, Jeff Gurner, Walter Houser, Gregory
Johnson, Duke Jordon-Edge, Ilyana Kadushin, Charles Lofin, Anthony
Macbain, Anthony Mangano, Andrew McGinn, Rob Nelson, Caleb Oglesby,
Vince Parker, Kerry Shaw, Steve Stratton, Phoebe Strole, John
Tormey, Dan Van Zant, Oliver Vanquer, Robert Verlaque, Natalya

Daniel is one of America's top leaders
in neuroscience, while working for The Project
Daniel created a drug by the name of ‘Cortexa’
which temporarily suppresses the hold of the Pickman
Bridge over the subject and allows the subject
a few minutes of clear and cohesive thought.
After the government revoked the funding of the
Project and as a means to further his work Daniel
volunteered himself as a test subject, as a result
of this Daniel now suffers from blackouts with
no memory of who he is or his past and has spent
the last six years locked away in Dixmor Hospital
for the Criminally Insane.

Dixmor Hospital for the Criminally Insane and aids
Daniel in his escape from the asylum. Aside from
being a Dixmor inmate Leo is a trained assassin,
as such Leo is far more aggressive than Daniel and
urges Daniel along the way to recovering his memories.
Leo is considered a threat to The Project due to
his anomalistic ways of dealing with things, while
in captivity Leo was responsible for strangling
Dr. Deborah to death. |

| Dr. Deborah acted as the Project doctor for patients
Daniel Lamb and Leo Kasper. Not much is known about
Dr. Deborah beyond her working for the Project,
after her death she was superseded by Dr. Whyte,
who is known to be a clinical psychologist so it
can be assumed that Dr. Deborah was also of the
same pedigree. Through a patient therapy session
between Dr. Whyte and Leo it is revealed that Leo
killed Dr. Deborah prior to the events in the game.
Leo says that he broke free from the chains that
restrained him and strangled her to death just as
she was about to ask him about his actions, primarily
concerning the death of an un-named character, Dr.
Whyte later informs Daniel that Deborah has taken
a "leave of absence". |

else is known of Pickman beyond the knowledge that
he is the highest ranking scientist on the Project. |

Not much is revealed about Daniel’s
wife. From observing the in-game material it appears
as though she is just a regular suburban house
wife living at home her and Daniel’s two
children all while trying to cope with financial
strain.
What is known is that she doesn't approve of
Daniel subjecting himself to his own studies and
is distraught over the situation.

| The asylum nurses and orderlies oversee the
inmates of the Dixmor Hospital, of which include
Daniel and Leo. Their motives are clearly twisted;
they are likely motivated by money. Their way
of dealing with difficult patients appears to
revolve primarily around abusing, beating and
overmedicating the inmates. They can be seen
regularly abusing the inmates of the hospital.
They don't appear to exhibit any form of excessive
hunt skill retorting to hand to hand combat.
They are also the first grouping of foes that
you come across. |

The Bloodhounds are a group of paid-off
bounty hunters that are brought in by the
Project to bring Daniel and Leo to adjourn.
They are motivated by money but do seem
to enjoy their job perhaps a little more
than your average-joe. The hounds are outfitted
with air and ground support and are heavily
armed, they hunt as a pack and are efficient
hunters.

| The civilians
that you come across range from residents
of the nearby neighbourhood, truck drivers,
repairmen and store clerks. They have no affiliation
with any group or the Project and only get
involved in the hunt if they feel threatened

(for the most part) be avoided. |

The security guards are a bunch of rent-a-cops
brought in by the Project to protect the
Project facilities that may be vulnerable
to non Project personnel. They are under
orders to secure their positions by the
Project and are motivated by money.
There are also cops that you come across
that appear to be straight laced and have
little or no affiliation to the Project
and are merely trying to do their job.

The Dixmor inmates are a bunch of over
medicated loonies. Serving no use beyond
being human guinea pigs, they are detained
in the Dixmor asylum after being experimented
on by the project. They now serve no purpose
beyond being failed experiments left with
no objective beyond regular abuse at the
hand of the orderlies.
Thanks to the power-outage they now roam
the halls of Dixmor asylum creating pandemonium
for Daniel and the Project.

The Legion are a mysterious gang, not much
is known of them and most of what is known
is through observing the words they speak
and their physical appearance. The gang
appears to be made up of failed experiments
of the Project and past inmates of Dixmor
insane asylum.
Their motivation likely resides somewhere
between salvation and revenge. They appear
to represent Daniels own dread and can often
by heard saying biblical phrases.

| During the initiation
of the Project, the Pervs primary role was
in recruiting potential test subjects of the
promiscuous variety situated around the red
light district for the Project. The gang is
made up of sexual deviants motivated by sadomasochistic
desires, taking pleasure from hunting down
their victims and inflicting sadistic violence
on them. They don’t have any particular
hunting skill but what they lack in hunting
skills they more than make up for in sadism,
choosing to taunt their victims rather than
flat out kill them. |

| The Pimps run and operate around Bees Honey
Pot brothel. Motivated by money and sexual desires
rather than the thrill of the hunt, they appear
to be little more than hired hands, possibly
made up of members of ex street gangs. They

the Project and are seemingly unaware of the
recent mishaps to have happened to the Project. |

| The members of the Militia are said to be born
of the same genesis as James Early Cash from the
first Manhunt. They are nothing more than a bunch
of career criminals recruited by the Project and
for this they owe the Project their lives, as for
not for them then their very existence would have
been halted. As they are proclaimed dead, they have
no records or identity and all forms of identifying
features have been removed, making them little more
than ghosts that live to serve the Project. The
Militia act as the Projects own private army, as
a faction the Project Militia have the aid of helicopter
support, travel in packs and are heavily armed.
The Militia are motivated by money and loyalty to
the Project. |

The Watchdogs are under orders from the
Project to detain Daniel and Leo. Their motivation
lays squarely in their devotion to the Project;
they do not appear to have alternate motives.
They like to hunt in formation, often appearing
in groups at a time before splitting up to scout
the area. They are highly trained, highly educated
killers, nothing more nothing less.
