Seeing how greatly new textures can improve a game's visuals and the fact that despite Manhunt not being the most mod-friendly game of R*, it's still very easy to modify the textures for sure. The game itself is linear, relatively small and consists of mostly just gray urban areas and i doubt R* would create too many different tilesets and textures of for all these similar looking environments so i can't see the effort being too high regarding the number of textures. Besides, most of the work when R* was creating Manhunt went into dialogue and audio design.

So my question is: How come no one has ever created a HD texture mod for Manhunt 1, i mean one Russian fella made one for Manhunt 2 all by himself and the game looks much nicer with it (Still have the game installed with the mod).

Is it the small modding community or just some sort of technical limitation which i do not understand?

Before Ermaccer showed up, the only noteworthy Mancunt mod was the director's cut edition which cleaned up the hud and execution filters.

I guess no ones really bothered specially since the game in someways looks cartoonish. Personally I kinda like the way it looks it gives it the really urban decay feel, but it would still be nice to see what it would look like with HD textures

Actually... i take my suggestion back. Manhunt 1 has such a dark blue ''filter'' all over it and the whole game consists of dark gray areas that i doubt new textures would even be noticeable. It's just too much of a bland colored game for the textures to matter much. The audio design is where Mancunt shines and so should it be with every stealth game.

If you turned up the saturation you'd notice
