Rockstar put this on their support site almost a year ago, and still haven't done anything about it. At first level of the tutorial stage of Manhunt 1, after killing the second hunter, the door you have to go through is stuck and will not open. Does anybody know how to fix it?

Huh. Never heard of this problem before. Can you spare some more details?

Is it the Steam version?

Which operating system/architecture (32 or 64bit) do you use?

I'm wondering if it's a core affinity issue. It doesn't seem too likely since Manhunt isn't that old so it could be that Steam have messed with the .exe to add their DRM which might have caused the error.

Either way, try running it in compatibility mode for XP SP3, and while the game's running open Task Manager, right click the process and choose Set Affinity. Set it so only CPU 0 is selected. I assume you have a dual core or better if you're using 64bit, either that or a single core with a lot of RAM!

Be sure to do these things before you start any levels, since most of the scripts are hard coded into the .exe.

I can only run it in SP2 compatibility mode. http://support.rockstargames.com/entries/20077047-crashing-during-tutorial-stage-in-the-downloadable-version-of-manhunt

My fault, I mixed up Vista with Windows 7. SP2 mode should produce the same results.

That method did not work. And I have a dual core processor.

You could try replacing the .exe with the No-CD crack from the downloads section here.
