Red Dead Revolver 2 (codenamed "Old West Project" in 2005), is the follow up of its predecessor Red Dead Revolver released in May 2004. It is expected for release sometime in 2008 although the official release date has yet to be announced.

A trailer of the project was released to a select number of people at a Sony conference in 2005. This trailer can be viewed on YouTube. The trailer boasts a scene familiar to its predecessor, so it is expected to be a continuation of the original story. However clarification will be needed as the game becomes closer to its release date, which has also not yet been verified.

The "yes" has not been heard, but it is believed that a sequel to 2004's Red Dead Revolver is soon to come out. The trailer can be seen on YouTube at the link at the bottom.

I never played it. I looked at some of the videos, it looks alright, but the levels seem way too short.

Red Dead and GUN ....the best western games ever, fuck mid age, fuck sci fi, we have heroes that drink wiskey to ease pain and kill you with shotguns from winchester...BA BAM.

I am so looking forward to a wild west game, even more than to a victorian london and miami game.

Actually I hope Rockstar ditches LA Noir to make Max Pane 3 and Red Dead. Noir workED in the fucking 40ies, not the best time for kickass neonoir is western, the 80ies and as max payne shows the present. Back then Noir was also set in the present, not just the fucking 40ies. It would have been in the 90 instead but there was no 90ies then, so please Rockstar, ditch LA noir and make Red Dead 2.
I miss my favorite chractres from then like the scarecrowlegoman, buffalo soldier and Mr Kelly with his knives and Christina with her sawn off.....best multiplayer ever.

Sounds schweeeet. I love western themed games, although there has not been a really good one yet.

I almost stopped playing Red Dead revolver when I first got it. The very start of the game seemed terrible to me. I am glad I gave it a chance though. The levels and gameplay got better and better as the game progressed and it would call it a great game by time I finished it. If anyone is considering the game, give it a fair chance because you won't be disappointed by time you get past the learning curve. The graphics get nice and clear later in the game too.

I wonder if there are any hints to part 2 in the movie studio in Manhunt 2? The "5 past high noon" studio has a trailer you can watch in the control room. It may just be a spoof of the first one though. It definately shows the original character.

i am sure they are working on revolver 2, i don't think that in manhunt 2 is it though. i think that is a just by chance thing, probably a nod more than anything. i think 2009 or fall 2008 for rdr 2

my biggest issue with it was load times and controls, i am sure load times will be gone but they need to redefine those controls

la noir isn;t being developed by rockstar, only published. i am sure max payne 3 is coming also, likely an internal rockstar studio. but 3d realms is also tied to that franchise, or maybe that was just due to the involvement of remedy. does take-two own 3d realms? i know they publish their games

I think Rockstar is even devopling max payne 3 right now. On playzone (like opm) there is a little news that they are developing it right now and when they asked houser himself he said "yeah sure, it would be cool"; this is just like "Vice City Stories ...hm not sure if it comess out on ps2 ...." and that 3 days before it was out, fuck yeah, we just have to be patient.

It was pretty obvious a sequel would come out, they said, "Untitled Western Project" in 2005, it was as bad as a secret as who the final boss of MGS3 was.
