ManHunt will never be a big seller or rake in a fan base like GTA, RDR etc, of course, and i think they were well aware of this when pushing the boundaries with this title, yet that didn't stop R* from making it in the first place OR even making a sequel from it. We also have to take into consideration that they did just recently renew its IP address, which (I KNOW) doesn't mean they're making a 3rd at the moment but it does imply they're not done with the franchise just yet and may even want to revisit it somewhere down the line. While it seems they view this game as there "problem child" I think R* does enjoys the fact that they do have a wild card in their deck, to play when the time is right.

I hope what you say is true and it's thier wild card. I think the reason Manhunt got made was because it was simply a different time. Not everyone and thier brother gamed back in the early 2000s sure GTA was starting to bring in a wider audience but it hadn't yet reached CoD online multiplayer mainstream appeal level yet it was still mostly a geek hobby if you will. Manhunt and all it's glory was able to slip through the cracks of the ESRB due to lack of interest at the time, Im pretty sure they were more lax back then until the GTA SA hot coffee fiasco a year later. I'd love to see Manhunt 3 uncut across all systems but given this changing world of wimps it's going to be a up hill battle.

Manhunt 3 is very high risk for very little reward. Given how long it takes to make a game these days it simply isn't worth the investment.

Yet R* has more than enough money to waste and take a gamble if they choose to do so. Take Electrovore (bloodtrail) for instance, here's a super small company planning on releasing an AO game as a VR-exclusive, two strikes against them right out of the gate and still that hasn't swayed them from doing what they want to do. IF there are still devs within the company that wants to do it, they will. And like you said R* takes there time on making their games and seeing how ManHunt2 didn't pan out so well, I'm sure there's a lot to be iron out and perfected/considered just story-wise alone, to ensure history doesn't repeat itself. In short, It wouldn't surprise me if it WAS made or NEVER made, cause both seem very plausible here, considering the facts.

Electrovore doesn't have the whole gaming world and controversial world looking directly at them so they have a lot more leeway when it comes to what they make because not everyone isn't watching them waiting to point the judgment finger at them. Rockstar has had that finger pointing at them since 2001 so unless they do manhunt 3 top secretly, I gotta agree with wwinterj tood high risk for small reward. Way I see when comes to Rockstar I'm sure many people there have thought about making manhunt 3 but they probably say something like "is it worth making it and pleasing one of our smallest fan bases but risk being watched by the ESRB and parent watch groups for the next 10 years? Probably not" while I want manhunt 3. Rockstar is a company and they want money and acceptance not controversy and freedom

R* is Take Twos bitch and they simply won't take the gamble. Again it'll take years to make Manhunt 3 and it'll yield very little in terms of cash when compared to making something less risky. Manhunt aside Bully 2 is a excellent choice for their next game as I don't see many games like that on the market. That's one reason I like RDR so much. I don't know of many western games so it's a breath of fresh air. Perhaps Agent will actually come out too. Then again I believe that to be vaporware at this point.

Man, Agent sounded like a great new title that i wish would have seen the light of day. From the little bits of info that came out about it, It kinda gave me a manhunt impression (stealth wise) but based during the height of the cold war at the tail end of the 1970's. Bully2 I gueeess will do? Don't get me wrong I played it when it came out and quite enjoyed it, enough so that I beat the game. But that was some time ago and even then I kind of viewed that game as sort of pre-schoolish by R*'s standards, maybe that's cause I'm such a die-hard ManHunt fan IDK but eh, I'll probably get it for my 6yr old son when it comes out. I'm not sure if I have stated this, but "The Rifle Man" is one of my favorite shows lol! With that said and from what I have seen from hrs of gameplay, I sincerely am looking forward to getting RDR2 when/if its released on PC.

RDR2 is a game I'll pick in about 7 months when the price is about half. I'm not that big of a wild west guy. Bully 2 I'm still waiting till I see more I mean we barely know anything about it other than it's coming. I'm honestly looking forward to the backlash if there's a online mode and little kids start getting swirling in the toilet and cry to thier parents about being bullied in a game called Bully 2. The original was fun but I'm worried they're going to inject smartphones and Fake Facebook into trying to appeal to today's teenage culture. Back in 2006 it was a completely different world not everyone had cellphones, people still talked and friends were physical people who you see everyday and weren't obsessed with themselves like now. I could honestly see a photography class mission being "get 100 student likes for a selfie on ____book" or whatever they going to call it in Bully 2.

One would assume Bully 2 will indeed have smart phones, social media and the like in it as they are very much part of the world today even more so for school kids. GTA V had that too and I can't say I had any issue with it. A lot of folk have nostalgia for old R* games. Some folk absolutely insist Red Dead Redemption is better than Red Dead Redemption 2 for example. I'm all for opinion but in my view RDR 2 does everything RDR did and more. I'm not one for jumping on a hype train but Red Dead Redemption 2 is probably my favourite R* game since the PS2 days. I also think the mission structure, while not perfect has improved and so has the storytelling.

On a side note:

I find it very interesting that Mexico is missing and the other half of the map from the first game is P much empty. I can only assume it's there for the online. Maybe they will add Mexico as DLC. Who knows? It's just a bit disappointing really.

I have nostalgia for the old PS2 days, this is something I readily admit. Bully 2 having smartphones and social media won't be a deal breaker for me but I'll definitely only use it when absolutely necessary. Like many others I try to add a little bit of myself into the characters even if it's a scripted protagonist. Take saints row 2 for example I got over 200 hours on my save but my character doesn't look like a saints gangster, I got him dressed up like shit and he lives in a shitty basement apartment and hangs around at a porn shop all day (which is something I'd do in real life if there was one in my city) instead of being a gang leader. In bully I have Jimmy dressed up close to how I dressed up my senior year of high school.

Oh I do the same with that too or somewhat live how I want to look though the characters. Take Arthur Morgan in RDR 2:
The cannon look of him being clean shaven isn't what I want or need. This is only natural for me:

It just looks so much better to me and remind me of when I had my long hair. I can't grow a beard as manly as that though unfortunately.

I'm with wwinterj, I think RDR2 is amazing, much better than the first, and with a much better protagonist.

I'm looking forward to visiting New Austin again.

After completing the game I decided to open up all the map.

This means going all the way into New Austin for me. It's nice to visit but doesn't have much at all going on. It's a bit strange really. I can only assume it's there for the online but even them it's quite empty. Still I did get nostalgia. The most for me was going into Blackwater again and the Epilogue. Some folk have actually been able to glitch into Mexico too.

I'll check it out once I complete it. I'm taking it real slow. Really great game!
