Several previews have been released online for the Rockstar published, Team Bondi developed, L.A. Noire. The previews seem universally positive, with additional praise given to the new technology and concept of the title.

As a side note it appears that Rockstar was demonstrating the PlayStation 3 version of the game, considering that the game started out as a Sony published exclusive this perhaps isn't so surprising. All the same it is nice to see that a Rockstar published game may actually perform more comparably between formats for once.

The PlayStation 2 is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year and to mark the occasion IGN have posted their Top 100 PlayStation 2 Games. They placed Manhunt as the 85th best game available for the system.

While Rockstar is one of the most respected game developers today, it was just gaining steam back in the early days of the PlayStation 2. It had the Grand Theft Auto franchise, but people wanted more. In late 2003, Manhunt hit, and it was clear that Rockstar was hitting its stride. After all, just like with Grand Theft Auto III, Manhunt attempted to revolutionize the industry with a game the likes of which no one had ever seen before.

Several other Rockstar games also made the shortlist.
